Event Description

Join the conversation and hear how the four artists in the exhibition, Time & Place: Human Impact and our Changing Environment, invoke a sense of place and explore themes of ecology, human impact, climate change, and social history in their art. Jeff Nathanson, curator of Time & Place and Executive Director of the Museums of Sonoma County, will serve as the moderator.  The four artists are:


Kim Anno is a mixed media artist, filmmaker, and a painting professor at the California College of the Arts.
Donna Brookman makes paintings, books, and prints that explore “the elusive space between representation and abstraction.”
The majority of Lewis deSoto\'s work has been in the media of photography, sculpture, and installation. Berkeley Art Museum Director Lawrence Rinder writes: "deSoto has explored a wide variety of media in his efforts to express the nuances of various social histories and worldwide cosmologies.”
Andrew Moore investigates the intersections of historical moments found within specific locations.

Doors open at 6:30pm, the TALK begins at 7:00pm.


Members are free; Non-Member tickets are $10 prepaid or $15 at the door. Preregistration ends at 5pm on day of lecture.
