May 20: Opening Gala, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, 5-8:30 p.m.

The newly renovated Francis Ford Coppola Winery, reopened in July 2010, is the latest venture from Francis Ford Coppola, whose passion for wine, food and adventure is nowhere more evident than in this new production – a winery resort located in the heart of Alexander Valley, California. Among the many attractions at the property, the winery features wine tasting bars, two restaurants including Rustic Francis’s Favorites®, a swimming pool, a movie gallery, a performing arts Pavilion and a park area with game tables and bocce courts.

Francis Ford Coppola Winery is the perfect setting for an evening of Alexander Valley’s reserve and library wines, gourmet food, live music and dancing, courtesy of jazz and blues singer, Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers –

While enjoying the amazing valley views, guests will sip cocktail hour wines poured by AVW member winemakers, vintners and owners, followed by a colorful wine country selection of small, individual plates and passed hors d’oeuvres created by local Healdsburg culinary talent Tim Vallery, owner/chef of Peloton Catering —

Gala guests will enjoy dishes such as Pork Cheek and Exotic Mushroom Campanelle; Buckwheat Blini with Lime Crème Fraîche and Caviar; Chilled Asparagus Bisque with Terra Sonoma Saba; and, Spice Seared Beef Carpaccio with Argula and Vella Dry Jack, among many others.

Fee: $0.00
