Event Description

Sonoma State University History Department and Club presents: Republic of Women

Dr. Carol Pal of Bennington College (VT) tells the fascinating story of a network of female scholars, who were active members of the 17th-century republic of letters, and demonstrates that this intellectual group of ladies was a much more eclectic and diverse collection than had previously been assumed. Step into narrative adventure of witty, candid, and experimental women of the past.
