Storytelling Evening of Letters from Veterans

Event Description

 Letters written from soliders in combat and sents to loved ones back home are retrieved from the Civil  War, Wolrd War II, and Vietnam War eras and brought to life by a circle of storytellers led by Sonoma County's Kenneth Foster and comprose Leslie Scatchard, Morris Turner, and John Ton. Narratives included Edward D. Washington, an African-American solider who served in the Civil War and poeticallt described the Battle of Oustee in Florida. Another is from Jane Wandry, a combat surgical nurse, who served in World War II and earned seven battle stars.
