 The United Nations Association of Marin joins with CFI to celebrate International Women's Day (March 8) with a special screening of Femme, an inspirational film about women around the world who are actively transforming and healing global society on a daily basis. Interviews with influential women address religion, science, history, politics and entertainment, as well as the value of a feminine approach to solving the multiple crises we face throughout the world. Participants include Jean Houston, Marianne Williamson, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Riane Eisler, Sharon Stone, Rickie Lee Jones, Gloria Steinem, Maria Bello, Maria Conchita Alonso, Nobel Laureates Shirin Ebadi and Mairead Maguire, and many more. Following the screening, filmmaker Emmanuel Itier (www.femmethemovie.com) will answer questions and psychiatrist and author Jean Shinoda Bolen will talk about her advocacy for a 5th UN World Conference on Women.
