Celebrate National Trails Weekend:

Volunteers Needed for

June 8 Work Day at

Celebrate National Trails Weekend by helping to clean up the trails at Jack London State Historic Park. Sunday June 8 from 9 am to 1 pm volunteers are needed to assist with thistle removal on trails throughout the park. Teens 14 and up are welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Training and tools, as well as water and light snack will be provided.

The 20 plus miles of trails at Jack London State Historic Park offer access to nature for recreation, education, exploration, solitude, inspiration and much more. Traversing the trails supports enhanced physical and mental health and showcases signature vistas of the Sonoma County landscape.

National Trails Weekend aims to highlight the important work thousands of volunteers do each year to take care of the park’s trails. Trails do not magically appear for our enjoyment; their construction and maintenance takes hours of dedicated planning and labor. With minimal Park staff, the support of a volunteer corps is critical to keeping the Park trails maintained and safe.

Volunteers should congregate in Ranch Parking lot for 9:00 am meet up with Pat Stevens, Director of Operations at Jack London State Historic Park. Please note there is a $10 per car parking fee but this goes directly to help fund ongoing trail restoration. For more information, please call (707) 938-5216.

Fee: $0.00
