Event Description

 Fervent 49er fans will line up to meet the team’s legendary quarterback Joe Montana as he signs a variety of keepsakes leading up to “Legends of Candlestick,” the final football game to be played at Candlestick Park.

Fans can bring any item – posters, footballs, t-shirts, photos, jerseys, autograph books, hats, etc. –for Montana to autograph.  Montana will be signing 200 autographs in total. The cost is $149 per autograph (maximum of two signatures per person may be purchased) and all proceeds will benefit the San Francisco Firefighters and San Francisco Police Department, whose own football teams will compete against each other in a flag football contest preceding the “Legends of Candlestick” game on July 12.

Fans must bring their own item(s) to be signed, and autograph tickets can be purchased on site.

Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

The rare opportunity to meet Montana in person and have him sign favorite items takes place three days before the unforgettable football finale at Candlestick Park in which NFL Hall of Famers Montana and Jerry Rice, and their 49er teammates Roger Craig, Dwight Clark, Steve Young, and many more, will face off in a flag football game against a team of NFL stars captained by NFL Hall of Famer Dan Marino.

“Legends of Candlestick” Presented by HP is part of San Francisco Recreation and Park Department’s “Last Summer at the Stick” series, and tickets are on sale now.
