Vince Harper has worked in Santa Rosa neighborhoods engaging residents, schools, youth and organizations to improve the community for over 20 years. Much of his work has been concentrated on the Roseland neighborhood.

Vince Harper has worked in Santa Rosa neighborhoods engaging residents, schools, youth and organizations to improve the community for over 20 years.  Much of his work has been concentrated on the Roseland neighborhood.  His early days with Sonoma County People for Economic Opportunity (now Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County) included work in Roseland School District classrooms providing teen pregnancy and gang prevention workshops for elementary students.  He has worked extensively with students from Cook Middle and Elise Allen High School to help students to be successful through education and community service.   Mr. Harper will share his experience in working with youth and adults to improve the community through training and projects.  He will share examples of projects he has led or partnered with other groups and organizations to address Roseland area needs.  He tell a story of hope and progress towards a thriving Roseland. 

Vince Harper graduated Sonoma State University and has been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for his work with at-risk youth in low-income neighborhoods in Santa Rosa.
