Celebrating Jack London:

Annual Graveside Memorial Nov. 22

at

JACK LONDON STATE HISTORIC PARK

The annual Graveside Memorial Service honoring Jack London will be held Saturday November 22. Jack London died at the age of 40 on this date in 1916. In his short life he accomplished much, not only as a writer of fifty books, but also as a true adventurer, reporter, war correspondent, sports article writer, and innovative farmer. He was in the process of developing a model ranch, destined to be the finest in California, when he died. In his own words, he said, he would have wished farming to be his true legacy, far beyond writing. The Park, his Beauty Ranch is his legacy for future generations. The memorial is open to the public at no charge other than the $10 per car parking fee collected at the entrance kiosk. Those attending should gather at the House of Happy Walls Museum to start the half mile walk to the gravesite at 10:30 am. For more information, check online at www.jackondonpark.com

Fee: $10.00
