Rue ’66 is San Francisco’s only authentic French yé-yé band. Yé-yé, derived from “yeah! yeah!,” is a style of pop music that emerged from France, Italy, and Spain in the 1960s. With 8 veteran musicians, Rue ’66 creates a unique experience focused on the sounds of Françoise Hardy, France Gall, Jacqueline Taïeb, Stone, Gillian Hills, and Brigitte Bardot.
