SEPARATE TABLES by Terence Rattigan
Directed by Michael Tabib
Sometimes our alienation is our own doing but can also be the result of social conditioning. Our past experiences can cause the barriers which separate all of us.
In Terence Rattigan’s play “SeparateTables”, we witness two passionate individuals in Act One, who are desperately in love with each other, and at the same time have a volatile reaction to each other’s personal needs, hence leading to their own alienation from each other and the world.
In Act Two, we have a lonely timid spinster afraid of living and a retired military Major, with a sordid past.
