Event Description

 Join the Museum for a visit to St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Christian Church. Father Lawrence Margitich will give us a talk about the White Russians who settled here in Sonoma County after escaping from Russia during the 1920s, settling initially in Harbin, China, slowly making their way to San Francisco, California, and finally to Sonoma County. After the talk, Father Lawrence will give us a guided tour of the frescoes and icons in the Church that are almost finished after a decade of painting.
