Event Description

Develop the narrative of place, and the human desire to project ourselves in it, with photographer Tressa Pack. Pack's work invokes a recurring impulse to seek out the unseen, and exposes the landscape as a constructed, cultural artifact and stage for human dramas. Hear about Pack's practice for making the absent present, and how the photographic medium so deftly illuminates this narrative theater. While leading a group walk to scout and shoot photos in the Marin Headlands, Pack will provide participants with prompts that put this methodology to the test. Back on campus, participants will share their photographs with one another while discussing how each image reframes the landscape. View-finding enthusiasts with basic or advanced photography experience are welcome-please bring your own digital camera.

Fee: $0.00
