Event Description

Next to rock ‘n’ roll, it was the underground comix of the Sixties and Seventies that expressed the true angst, wild imagination and boundless energy of the era. Jonah Raskin, Professor Emeritus at SSU, and himself a survivor of the Sixties, takes us back to the work of famed artists such as R. Crumb, Gilbert Shelton, Spain and Skip Williamson — plus women cartoonists Lynda Barry, Aline Kominsky and Trina Robbins — and explores how their work reflects the Sixties and what it might mean to us today, nearly half a century later.

Program sponsor receives two tickets and credit in the Museum's marketing materials. Lecture sponsorships are tax-deductible.

Purchase your tickets here online or you can also call us at (707) 579-1500 during regular business hours or between 11:00am-5:00pm on weekends.
