The course will equip board members with the concepts and tools needed to perform their fiscal oversight role as a board member. Topics addressed will be the operating budget, internal controls, the role of the independent auditor, and basic accounting and finance concepts. Agency staff will also find this workshop valuable as a financial overview.

Brett Bradford is a CPA and Senior Manager in Pisenti & Brinker’s Assurance Services practice. He has provided audit and advisory services to the not-for-profit, governmental, and other industries for 12 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
