Jack London State Historic Park

 October 10

The annual Wine County Ragtime Festival brings one of the events to Jack London State Historic Park on October 10 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. The free concert (except for usual parking fee of $10 collected at entrance kiosk) features RJB Trio, Jim Radloff, Kylan deGhetaldi, Steve Sandiford, John Partridge and Deborah Knapp making music upstairs at the House of Happy Walls at Jack London State Historic Park (2400 London Ranch Road in Glen Ellen). No advance reservations for this event.

There wouldn’t be jazz, boogie-woogie or bluegrass music, without ragtime, which enjoyed its peak of popularity between 1895 and 1918 with signature composers such as, Scott Joplin, and Joseph Lamb. The sounds of Ragtime will hearken back to the days when Jack and Charmian London threw great parties where they and their guests no doubt enjoyed this music, which was the “pop” music of their day.

Note: The concert will be upstairs by a narrow flight of steps. For questions regarding accessibility, please contact 707 938-5216.

Fee: $0.00
