Event to raise awareness of Prader-Willi Syndrome

San Rafael, CA—2009  The 4th annual Great American Blues and BBQ Festival will be a Rockn' & Smokin' Back to the Roots All American musical and gastronomical get down featuring the cream of the Bay Areas Blues Artists and the best Barbequers by the Bay.  Come celebrate Marin's outstanding heritage of great American roots music and its passion for gourmet soul food. The line up of Blues music gets the folks up to dance and complements the Red sauces of over 10 master barbequers! Pork Ribs, Beef Brisket, Tri Tip and Chicken, it will all be “finger lickin’ good”.  Headlined by Austin de Lone's Blues Band and featuring the Delta Wires and the JC Smith band,  Saturday September 12th will be a day of "Ribs and Rhythm" on 4th street between Cijos St. and A in Downtown San Rafael. The event will promote awareness and support for Prader-Willi Syndrome research. The fun starts at 11 and goes to 6. One day only!  Admission is Free. Brought to you by Team Pro Event and sponsored by the Downtown San Rafael Business Improvement District.

Fine Micro brews will be on hand to wet the appetite for the best and varied BBQ fare.  There will be over ten BBQ vendors who will all compete for the “King of the Que Awards”.  1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded for Best Brisket, Best Ribs and Best Overall Taste.  Last year’s King Marcel Lawson of Back Yard Barbeque will be back. Don’t miss his Rib-Eye Steak Sandwiches and Louisiana Hot Links!
