Event Description

Santa Rosa, CA (February 19, 2016) -- Join Wine County Chefs of Tomorrow and the Sonoma County Lodging Association on Thursday, April 21st at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel in Santa Rosa to benefit 9 local youth culinary art programs. This unique event partners culinary students with local chefs for an entertaining evening fired up with a tasty appetizers competition, amazing travel opportunities in the live and silent auctions, and the opportunity to ensure that culinary programs survive and thrive in local schools.

Each of the schools have been paired with an executive chef and together they will conceive, source, prepare and serve delectable appetizers in hopes of winning the coveted People's Choice Award. Guests will vote for their favorite appetizers. Thanks to Rocky The Free Range Chicken, poultry will be one of the featured ingredients.

Here is a list of the participating youth culinary arts programs and their chef partners:

  • Casa Grande High School with Bacchus Restaurant/DoubleTree Sonoma Wine Country.
  • Cloverdale High School with John Ash & Co./Vintners Inn
  • El Molino High School with Geyserville Grille/Geyserville Inn
  • Healdsburg High School with Nectar Restaurant/Hilton Sonoma Wine Country
  • Piner High School with The Gables Bed & Breakfast
  • Sonoma Valley High School with El Dorado Hotel & Kitchen
  • The Ceres Project with Rocker Oysterfeller's/Valley Ford Hotel
  • Vineyards Academy of Culinary & Hospitality at Windsor High School with Chalkboard/Les Mars Hotel
