Lifehouse Announces Details for 27th Annual Great Chefs and Wineries Gala, April 22

 WHAT: Lifehouse, a Marin County-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support services to individuals with developmental disabilities, has announced details for its 27th Annual Great Chefs & Wineries gala at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap Golf Club. The elegant affair takes place on Saturday, April 22, and is the agencys major fundraising event, having brought in more than half a million dollars to Lifehouse last year. Rock legend, Huey Lewis, a long-time supporter of the organization and Honorary Chair of the event, will host this years gala that will feature culinary delights and fine wines from more than 50 of the Bay Areas most renowned chefs and wineries.

The gala festivities will begin in an outdoor tent where guests will dine on small plates expertly prepared by chefs from 25 of the Bay Areas best restaurants.  Guests will enjoy the delectable bites accompanied by an impressive lineup of more than 25 elite wineries.  The event will also include a silent and live auction offering alluring trips, wonderful gifts, extraordinary wines, a beautiful piece of jewelry for the raffle sponsored by Cresalia Jewelers, an intimate concert by the Atlantic City Boys and a highly-anticipated musical/dance performance starring individuals served by Lifehouse.  Great Chefs and Wineries is Lifehouses major fundraising event of the year, with last years event raising over half a million dollars for the organization.

Lifehouse provides support services to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to be productive members of the community.  The organization began as a parent-led effort more than 60 years ago and is now one of the Bay Areas most respected nonprofit organizations, dedicated to improving the quality of life of the people it serves through life skills training, community integration, advocacy and referral information.  Independent living homes, intermediate care facilities, day support services, assessment, recreation and vacation travel for adult residents, as well as teen recreation integration programs, autism specialists, and in-home support for families are among Lifehouses many offerings.

All proceeds from the event benefit Lifehouse, one of the Bay Areas most respected agencies, providing residential and support services to over 250 individuals with developmental disabilities in Marin, Sonoma and San Francisco Counties.
