Larkspur CA- Five years ago on July 9, 2004, the Larkspur community celebrated the reopening of the beautifully restored 1936 Historic Art Deco single screen Lark Theater. Three years later the community again showed its overwhelming support of this non-profit cultural center by contributing to the purchase of the building. Now it is the Lark Theater’s fifth birthday and this precocious Larkspur icon has a lot to show for its first half a decade.
Since becoming a 501c3 non-profit five years ago, the Lark Theater has been hosting a series of special events that bring together filmmakers, families, and community organizations. These unique events reflect the Lark Theater’s commitment to create a community space where ideas, food and entertainment can be shared.
