Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur will host a Silver Oak Winery “Field to Glass” Wine Dinner on Thursday, November 7, the ninth in a yearlong series showcasing winemakers and other wine professionals who share philosophies that are important to the restaurant such as being good stewards of the land, engaging in sustainable business practices and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
The Silver Oak Winery dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a sparkling wine and appetizers reception followed by a four-course meal, priced at $150.00, that will include Scallop Ceviche with pickled red onions, compressed apple, tarragon, mandarin segments and lime vinaigrette paired with 2018 Twomey Sauvignon Blanc; Duck Confit with white beans, wilted escarole and black trumpet mushrooms paired with 2017 Twomey Russian River Pinot Noir; Rack Of Lamb Chop with roasted baby beets, Yukon Gold potato and celeriac purée and olive rosemary lamb jus paired with 2017 Twomey Merlot and 2016 Silver Oak Cabernet; and Fondant Au Chocolat, dark chocolate molten cake with chocolate sauce and caramel Heath bar ice cream.

The restaurant is located in the 114-year old historical Blue Rock Inn building and the dining room is notable for its natural materials and light colors, hardwood floors, stone fireplace, a beautifully refinished turn of the century 25-foot mahogany bar, the sun-lit terrace, comfortable bentwood chairs, colorful French advertising posters, high tin ceilings, large walls of windows and evocative brasserie lighting.
