Event Description

 Santa Rosa Junior College History Professor Laura Larque will lead a discussion on altar building and the important elements to include in a Day of the Dead altar. She will provide a walk-through of the museum’s altars, followed by a lecture on the Aztec philosophy of the spirit’s journey from the world of the living to the spirit world.

This is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the origin and traditions that are a part of Día de los Muertos.

Doors open at 6:30pm, the TALK begins at 7:00pm.

Free for members; Non-members $10 prepay, $15 at the door. Students with ID $5. Preregistration ends at 5pm on the day of the program.
