The "BFO" for 2010! A Blinding Flash of the Obvious
Event Description

January 8, 2010  ~  Santa Rosa, CA ~ Are you looking for ways to keep yourself, staff, board members and volunteers at your nonprofit motivated and positive during these tough economic times?
We cordially invite you to attend Sonoma County resident Steven Campbell’s luncheon seminar, “Making Your Mind Magnificent.”
Mr. Campbell has spent the past 20+ years studying how the brain works. This past spring, he released his third book, Making Your Mind Magnificent at Any Age. Steven has a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science Information Systems. He has worked for 18 years in administration in various California hospitals and has also been a college professor and educational dean.
Steven will demonstrate while he is talking to you, you are talking to yourself three times faster, and everything you say is accepted by your brain as absolutely true…weather it is or not! Since it is self-talk that determines how you see yourself (together called your self images) he shows you how we can literally change how we think after his forty-five minute workshop.
The luncheon program is presented by the Wine Country Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).  The local chapter of AFP serves Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Marin counties by providing educational programs, networking, career opportunities and extensive online resources for fundraising professionals of all levels.  AFP represents nearly 28,000 members in more than 190 chapters worldwide, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs.
Scholarships NOW available to underwrite all or part of the monthly luncheon fees for fundraising professionals that are experiencing challenges during these challenging economic times. For more information contact Vicki Yarnal at
