Event Description
Rotary District Conference Celebrates Past Year’s Accomplishments
Rotary District 5130 will converge in Rohnert Park on May 13-16 to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments in providing local and worldwide support to programs that improve the lives of people. The annual district conference will take on a Star Trek theme to meet District Governor (DG) Kirk Brown’s challenge, “To boldly go where no Rotarian has gone before.”
The event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel and more than 350 Rotarians from 45 Rotary Clubs are expected. Rotary District 5130 stretches from Petaluma to Crescent City and inland to Napa and Lake Counties. Awards for Club Service and individual excellence will be presented.
According to DG Brown, “This past year has been challenging for many in our communities and devastating for those in parts of the world that have also bore the weight of worldwide economic difficulties. I am proud of the many Rotary members that uphold the Rotarian concept of Service Above Self, especially during difficult times.”
Rotary International was founded in 1905 and is celebrating the organizations 105th anniversary. Rotary is a worldwide community with more than 22,000 Clubs in over 200 countries with approximately 1.2 million members. To learn more about Rotary please go to
