Event Description

The Sustainable Enterprise Coalition presents the 5th annual Sustainable Enterprise Conference. The day-long learning and networking conference, scheduled for May 7th at Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park, is dedicated to helping North Bay businesses and organizations transition to economic, environmental, and social sustainability. The Sustainable Enterprise Conference program is specifically geared towards the needs of enterprises looking to prosper in the North Bay economy in a sustainable and just way. Relevant and timely, the Sustainable Enterprise 2010 program provides tools for organizations and individuals to optimize bottom line results. Notable speakers include District Assemblymember Jared Huffman, a champion of Corporate Social Responsibility; Sascha Von Meier, Professor of Environmental Studies and Planning at Sonoma State University; and John Webley, CEO and Director at PAX Streamline, a product development company which uses biomimicry to improve energy efficiency. Our exciting line-up of panelists includes luminaries from academia, business, government and the non-profit sector. For business owners and organizational managers, we have a series of workshops focused on tools to help you achieve social, environmental and financial success. Financing and Funding in the New Green Economy, Driving Sustainability, Facilities Management, Accelerating Business Growth, and Social Media Marketing are all designed to improve your triple bottom line. For non-profits and community leaders, we have inspirational, interactive panels providing the latest information on Sustainable Agriculture, Relocalization and North Bay Sustainability. Corporate Enterprise Executives will hear about developments in Regenerative Enterprise and Clean Tech, as well as learn how Certified B Corporations add credibility and strength to their brand through the social and environmental performance of their companies. The Sustainable Enterprise Coalition is comprised of a group of Northern California business leaders, university faculty, nonprofit leaders, and entrepreneurs joined together to promote sustainable business practices. The group originated the Sustainable Enterprise Conference in 2006 to educate and work with North Bay enterprises and the local community to implement sustainable business practices and ensure a high quality of life for future generations.
