Event Description
A new course offered through Napa Valley College Community Education offers wine lovers and those working in the wine industry the opportunity to further expand their knowledge. Wine Label 101 is being offered on Wednesday, June 16th & 23rd from 6 til 8:30 pm at the Community Education Center in Napa. The fee is $40 plus $25 for class materials. This course is taught by Ann Reynolds of Wine Compliance Alliance. Wine Compliance Alliance provides services, training and education to members of the wine industry. Are you overwhelmed with too many choices in wine shopping? The selection of wines for consumers has grown dramatically over the past decade and along with it so have their choices. This class is designed to provide both consumers and wine industry professionals with a road map to understand wine label terminology, and assist them in making more discerning wine purchases. Varietal, vintage and appellation are just some of the items that will be discussed.
