Redwood Credit Union Shred-A-Thon and Seminar
Free document shredding event includes e-waste recycling/disposal and identity theft prevention seminar
Redwood Credit Union, 3033 Cleveland Avenue, Santa
Event Description

Redwood Credit Union (RCU) will host a free information security event including free document shredding provided by Shred-It and Integrity Shred, as well as an eWaste recycle center provided by GoodWill Industries of the Redwood Empire.

One of the easiest and most effective precautions against identity theft is to shred documents that contain sensitive data, such as old financial statements, canceled checks, credit card offers, and other outdated documents containing personal information. Attendees may bring up to 3 banker-sized boxes of documents for shredding. Acceptable items for eWaste recycling include computer components (CPUs, monitors, printers, ink cartridges), small office equipment (copiers and fax machines), and personal electronics (cell phones, CD and DVD players, televisions) and more. Visit RCU’s website for a complete list. Free child safety kits will also be available at the event.
Fee: $0.00
