EIGHTH ANNUAL MENDOCINO HERB FAIR SATURDAY, JULY 31, 2010 Saturday, July 31, 2010 marks the 8th Annual Mendocino Herb Fair, in the scenic coastal village of Mendocino, California. The annual herbal event features a variety of organic and locally handcrafted creations. Live music will entertain throughout the day and admission is free to the public. Herb lovers and plant enthusiasts will delight in the unusual and inspirational offerings of the day. Attendees will enjoy everything from organic bath and body care, scented geraniums, Japanese herbal heat treatments, redwood forest plants, heirloom seeds, soothing massage, wild harvested sea vegetables, infused oils, scented sachets, medicinal tinctures, tarot readings, flower essences, ornamental and culinary herbs, scented soaps and more. This will be the eighth anniversary of the Herb Fair in this small hamlet, known for its spectacular scenery, fascinating history and rich cultural heritage. Established in the 1800’s, the former lumber town–turned–artist’s colony has managed to retain its charm from yesteryear, bringing thousands of tourists to the north coast every year. In 1973, the town was designated a Historic Preservation District, ensuring the integrity of the pristine village and its surroundings. The Mendocino Herb Fair is held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grassy grounds of Century 21 at 45050 Little Lake Street in the town of Mendocino.
