PETALUMA HEALTH CENTER TO HOLD GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY AT NEW CLINIC SITE
 
  • The new 53,000-square-foot facility would more than double the health center’s capacity, serve thousands of additional residents in the region
  • New clinic to feature integrated medicine program combining Western medicine and alternative therapies such as acupuncture, massage therapy and yoga
 
WHAT:           Petaluma Health Center will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at a recently purchased office building that will help the clinic more than double its capacity to expand its health care services to the region’s residents. The new 53,000-square-foot facility was purchased after receiving $5.87 million capital lending from UnitedHealth Group’s California Health Care Investment Program, a 20-year, $200 million commitment to health care organizations that provide services to underserved and underinsured communities throughout California.  Petaluma Health Center also received $9.4 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds and other federal monies to renovate the new facility, which is scheduled to be opened next year.
