Event Description

The Sonoma County Museum is screening "Harvest of Loneliness: The Bracero Program" (starting at 2pm) in conjunction with Bittersweet Harvest exhibition. The film includes interviews of former braceros and their families, as well as footage of work sites, old living quarters, processing centers, and sending villages. It was made by Gilbert Gonzalez, professor emeritus at UC Irvine, and won awards including Best Documentary at the 2010 Los Angeles Latino Film Festival. Gonzalez will be at the screening to present his film and answer questions. Read more at:
