Event Description
Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa Valley will kick-off the nationwide Robert Mondavi Discover Wine Tour with a full day of wine, food and the arts on April 16, 2011. The popular and educational wine event was started in 2006 as a tribute to winery founder and legendary winemaker Robert Mondavi. This year marks the first time the Robert Mondavi Winery will host a portion of the nationwide tour.
The day-long event offers guests the chance to tour the Robert Mondavi Winery free of charge as they enjoy a complimentary glass of Robert Mondavi Winery 2009 Napa Valley Fumé Blanc. Special tours and tastings are scheduled throughout the day for an additional fee. Highlights include an official welcome at twelve o’ clock by Margit Mondavi and Ted Allen (popular cookbook author, wine expert and Food Network host) and a Ted Allen book signing event. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of seminars such as an exclusive cellar tasting, food and wine pairing classes, wine tasting in the vineyards and a six-year vertical tasting of the winery’s famed Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve hosted by Director of Winemaking, Genevieve Janssens.  Live entertainment will be provided by Jazz Mafia, a Bay Area instrumental jazz band.
Fee: $0.00
