Event Description

Music Napa Valley invites the Bay area community to hear crooner Roberto-Juan González as he teams with The Michael Parsons Jazz Trio to perform "Love Letters from Nat 'King' Cole" a benefit concert for the Piano Fund of the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Napa Valley College.

From the 1940's to 60's, Nat "King" Cole recorded more than 500 love songs and swing tunes, charming his way into the hearts of America and the world. The evening's performance presents hits from the American Songbook, featuring Michael Parsons at the piano, Adam Guy on bass, and Ulf Bjorkbom on drums. Bring back pleasant memories with "Unforgettable," "There Will Never Be Another You," and "Straighten Up and Fly Right."

The Capital Campaign to pay for the fleet of new pianos being used by Napa Valley College's students is still underway. Proceeds from the evening's performance will support this campaign, providing needed equipment for music students in the new 45,000 sq/ft facility, now on the northeast corner of the college campus. All donations to the fund (above and beyond the ticket price) are tax-deductible through the Napa Valley College Foundation.
