Erin MacDonald, MD, joins Northern California Medical Associates’ Women’s OB/GYN Center practice

Northern California Medical Associates is pleased to welcome Erin MacDonald, MD, to NCMA Women’s OB/GYN Center in Santa Rosa.

Dr. MacDonald’s recent experience says a lot about her: Over the past year, Dr. MacDonald cared for patients at a specialty women’s health group for high-risk and underserved populations in Memphis, Tenn. She completed her residency training at a Level-1 trauma center serving a diverse, high-risk patient population, and went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn., with a specialty in obstetrics and gynecology.

“Dr. MacDonald joins us as we’re experiencing a growing need for comprehensive women’s healthcare, delivered by women,” said Shazah Khawaja, MD, director of NCMA Women’s OB/GYN Center. “She brings to Sonoma County much-needed passion for women’s health and expertise in routine & high-risk pre-natal obstetric care, pelvic pain (fibroids, endometriosis) and minimally invasive surgery.”

Dr. MacDonald is now seeing patients at NCMA Women’s OB/GYN Center, located at 500 Doyle Park Drive, Suite 103 in Santa Rosa, Calif., 707-579-1102.

About Dr. Erin MacDonald

Dr. MacDonald has expertise in:

·        routine and high-risk deliveries,

·        minimally invasive gynecologic robotic-assisted surgery,

·        vacuum-assisted delivery,

·        obstetric emergencies,

·        maternal trauma,

·        maternal ICU care,

·        open abdominal/pelvic and minimally invasive surgery,

·        annual health care/preventative health maintenance,

·        routine and high-risk prenatal care.

Dr. MacDonald is additionally skilled in several in-office procedures, including: colposcopy, loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), hysteroscopy, ACOG long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) counseling and placement, and obstetric ultrasound procedures.
